Dem Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who underwent a challenging 12-hour surgery due to a heart attack and aortic rupture, has started to experience contractions in his right heart again. While Önder's health status is being closely monitored by the public, his brother Ali Fuat Önder stated that nationalists have come to the hospital to donate blood.
The life-threatening condition of DEM Party Istanbul Deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder continues. Önder, who underwent a challenging 12-hour surgery after a heart attack and aortic rupture, is being kept in intensive care.
A new statement was made by the hospital where Sırrı Süreyya Önder is receiving treatment regarding his health status. The statement noted that the treatment process in intensive care is continuing on the sixth day.
THE RIGHT SIDE OF HIS HEART HAS STARTED TO CONTRACT
In the hospital's statement, it was mentioned that Önder's chest was reopened and the surgical area was found to be clean. It was also stated that the right side of the heart, which had not been contracting before, has started to contract.
"NEUROLOGICAL CONCERNS CONTINUE"
In the statement, it was noted that "However, our patient has been unconscious since the moment he arrived, and his reflexes are not at the desired level." The doctors emphasized that they still have neurological concerns.
OLDER BROTHER: HIS CONDITION IS STABLE
While the condition of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party Istanbul Deputy, continues to be widely discussed in the public, support visits are also ongoing. Speaking to TELE1, his brother Ali Fuat Önder stated that his brother's health condition is currently stable, which is a positive development.
THERE IS A RUSH TO THE HOSPITAL
Önder expressed that they are not left alone in the hospital, stating that people from very different circles have come to visit. He said, "I can say there is a rush to the hospital. It's not just close friends; there are people coming from all over Turkey."
ULTRAS CAME TO DONATE BLOOD
Ali Fuat Önder noted that most of the visits have been emotional moments and shared an experience he had: "I didn't see it personally, but the hospital staff told me. A group of nationalist youth came here. They said, 'We want to donate blood.' This was on the second day. The hospital officials stated that there was no such need at that time, but still, their sensitivity touched us."
"IT WAS SAID HE WAS THE BODYGUARD OF MUHSIN YAZICIOĞLU"
Another incident that drew attention was related to Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, one of the symbolic figures of the nationalist movement. Sharing a remarkable memory that occurred during the visits, Önder emotionally stated:
"An elderly man came, and they called me. He shook my hand and said, 'I am from Trabzon, I live nearby.' Then he said that he was the bodyguard of the late Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu. During the September 12 period, my brother and Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu stayed together in Mamak Prison. There was a deep love and respect between them. I can never forget this visit."
