The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, who visited the tradespeople at the Yenişehir Market in Ankara, responded to a citizen's question, "What will they do about civil servant salaries, Mr. President?" by saying, "They will increase it by 12%. I am very scared."
While discussions continue regarding the rate of the minimum wage increase, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel met with tradesmen and citizens at the Ankara Yenişehir Market to listen to their problems.

During the visit, a citizen asked CHP leader Özel, "Mr. President, what will they do about the civil servant salary?" Özel responded to this question, "They will increase it by 12 percent. I am very afraid."
STRONG REACTION TO THE NEW MINIMUM WAGE
CHP leader Özel stated regarding the new minimum wage announced last night, "The minimum wage of 22,104 TL determined by the hastily held Commission meeting today is the last indication that Tayyip Erdoğan has lost touch with the realities of this country. Those who have been claiming victory in Syria for days have imposed a humiliating wage on the workers. Those who engage in false heroism over Syria and obscure the real agenda have once again deprived workers of their rights amidst that fog. Since it was first set in January, the minimum wage, which has eroded by at least 7,000 TL against the rising cost of living, has been increased by 5,000 TL. While the inflation for minimum wage earners is 80%, even the TÜİK inflation is 47%, they have crushed millions of minimum wage earners under inflation. Those who eat the rights of the workers in this country, and those who take the burden of it, shame on them. I congratulate the Türk-İş management for not attending the meeting held by decree and invite the working class to use the power that comes from production," he stated.
NUMBERS BEING DISCUSSED IN THE LOBBIES
On the other hand, it is being discussed that no increase will be made for civil servants and retirees, except for the six-month inflation difference. If no additional increase is made, it is noted that a 17% increase for retirement pensions and a 12.26% increase for civil servant salaries is planned for 2025. According to this calculation, the lowest civil servant retirement pension will rise from 17,586 TL to 19,742 TL. The salary of a single civil servant will increase from 36,236 TL to 40,678 TL.
