As Ramadan Feast approaches, the topic that retirees are most curious about is the holiday bonus. Last year, retirees received a bonus of 3,000 lira, and they are eagerly awaiting the increase in this year's bonuses. After discussions with the economic team under the chairmanship of our Vice President, we will evaluate this, just as there was an increase in previous years."
POSSIBLE BONUSES ACCORDING TO PERCENTAGES
If there is a 20% increase in holiday bonuses, it will rise to 3,600 TL, and if a 25% increase is made, it will reach 3,750 TL. If the increase rate is at 30%, the bonuses will increase by 900 TL and become 3,900 TL. Especially with the rising expectation of an increase, a 35% holiday bonus will exceed the 4,000 TL limit and become 4,050 TL. In the case of a 40% increase, the bonuses that retirees will receive will rise to 4,200 TL.
THE POSSIBILITY OF 4,000 TL IS STRONG
İsa Karakaş from Türkiye Gazetesi shared insider information regarding the pension holiday bonus. Karakaş stated that he believes there will definitely be an increase of at least 3,500 TL in the bonus, while saying, "It is being discussed that with Erdoğan's initiative, it could be 'maybe' up to 4,000 TL."
WHEN WILL THE HOLIDAY BONUSES BE PAID?
The Ramadan month, which will start on March 1, will end with the first day of Ramadan Feast on March 30.
Although there has not yet been an official announcement, considering the bonus payments implemented since 2018, it is planned that the holiday bonuses will be deposited into accounts between March 24-28. It is anticipated that the payments will be made on March 24, 2025.
