Hungary's Ambassador Visits Anadolu Agency Headquarters

15.09.2021 17:56

Director General Serdar Karagoz touts Anadolu Agency’s News Academy, war correspondent training.

Hungary's ambassador to Turkey on Wednesday paid a visit to the headquarters of Anadolu Agency, Turkey's premier news source.

Viktor Matis was welcomed at the headquarters in the capital Ankara by Serdar Karagoz, the agency's director general, and Yusuf Ozhan, the deputy director general and editor-in-chief.

Briefing Matis on Anadolu Agency's News Academy and its war correspondent training, Karagoz told how this August over 20 Azerbaijani journalists took the special course.

Stressing that the agency's war correspondent training is the best of its kind, he said they are looking forward to some 15 journalists from Hungary also receiving the training.

Matis, for his part, praised the agency's editorial policy and news coverage, adding that putting a positive spotlight on Turkish-Hungarian ties helps them grow stronger.

Turkey plays a major role in Hungarian foreign policy, he explained, saying that they continue work to promote Turkey and in the future want to organize numerous cultural events in the country.

Also praising the agency's news academy and its war correspondent training, Matis said he would suggest the course for Hungarian journalists.

Anadolu Agency is a leading global news agency operating across the world. It serves subscribers in more than 100 countries, including in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region. -
