The attorneyship authority of Hunter Biden, who was found guilty in the illegal weapon acquisition case, has been revoked by court order. HUNTER BIDEN'S ATTORNEYSHIP AUTHORITY REVOKEDChief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals announced that Hunter Biden, who was found guilty of purchasing weapons while being a drug addict, has had his license to practice law in Washington DC suspended. In a written statement, it was stated that "The defendant has been immediately removed from the legal profession in the District of Columbia until this matter is resolved." Judge Blackburne-Rigsby's decision came after Hunter Biden was convicted of federal weapon charges by a federal jury in Delaware. Although Hunter Biden, a graduate of Yale Law School, has not actively used his law degree, he has had a license to practice law in Washington DC since 2007. Federal laws in the United States prohibit someone who improperly uses controlled substances (drugs) from purchasing or possessing firearms. Hunter BidenHUNTER BIDEN DENIED THE CHARGESHunter Biden was accused of illegally acquiring firearms while being a drug addict in 2018, violating federal laws by making false statements about whether he used drugs during the purchase process, and illegally possessing the firearm. Special prosecutor David Weiss, appointed by the Department of Justice to investigate the allegations against Biden, filed these charges last year. Biden denied all the allegations against him. With Hunter Biden's trial, the son of a sitting president appeared before a judge for the first time in US history due to criminal charges. Political observers have speculated that Hunter Biden's trial and a guilty verdict could negatively impact his father Joe Biden in the presidential elections to be held on November 5th. In the sentencing hearing held in Delaware on June 11th, the convicted Biden could face up to 25 years in prison, while factors such as the crime being committed for the first time allow for a reduction in the sentence.
