PROTEST AGAINST HUNTERS

Hunters who came to the island for the partridge hunting, which was allowed by the National Parks Directorate until January, arrived at the port for their evening return after the hunt. The island residents welcomed the hunters at the port with banners, displaying signs that read "Hunting is not a sport, it is murder." The partridge cages in the vehicles of the hunters boarding the ship under the protection of gendarmerie teams drew attention.

The island residents expressed that they could not go outside their homes and were scared due to the gunshots from the hunters throughout the weekend.
