The Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, announced the details of the 500,000 social housing project through a video shared on his social media account. Minister Kurum made a video post explaining all the details of the 'Century Housing Project', which will involve the construction of 500,000 houses in 81 provinces.
HERE ARE ALL THE DETAILS
According to the video shared by Kurum, those who are at least 18 years old and have been citizens of the Republic of Turkey for at least 10 years will be able to apply for the project. The project will allocate quotas for the families of martyrs and veterans, people with disabilities, retirees, families with three or more children, and young people aged 18-30. In Istanbul, the net monthly income of households applying for the project cannot exceed 145,000 lira. In the Anatolian provinces, this limit will be 127,000 lira.
AT LEAST 1 YEAR RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
Applicants must not have an independent residence registered in the title deed or a contract with TOKİ, including their spouse and children. For projects in the provincial center, a residency requirement of at least 1 year will be sought in the provincial center, for projects in districts, in the district, and for projects in towns, in the project document.
PRICES ANNOUNCED
The houses will consist of two separate 2+1 units of 80 and 65 square meters and 1+1 units of 55 square meters. The houses will be offered for sale with a 10% down payment and payment options of up to 240 months, with prices varying between Istanbul and Anatolia. In Anatolia, 1+1 houses will be sold for 1 million 800 thousand TL, 2+1 units of 65 square meters for 2 million 200 thousand TL, and 2+1 units of 80 square meters for 2 million 650 thousand TL. In Istanbul, 1+1 houses will be sold for 1 million 950 thousand TL, 2+1 units of 65 square meters for 2 million 450 thousand TL, and 2+1 units of 80 square meters for 2 million 950 thousand TL.
