ISTANBUL ON ALERT
As snowfall approaches Istanbul, measures have started to be taken to prevent adverse effects from the precipitation in the city.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality announced that 11,916 personnel will be on duty against heavy snowfall and icing, and it was stated that 280,000 tons of salt are kept in salt depots. Additionally, accommodation opportunities are provided for homeless citizens in contracted hotels, while IETT, Metro Istanbul, and City Lines will arrange additional services on days when heavy snowfall is expected.

FLIGHTS CANCELLED AT SABİHA GÖKÇEN
On the other hand, due to the expected adverse weather conditions at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, in addition to the flights cancelled for February 6, it was reported that 20% of the remaining flights and 10% of the flights on February 7 will also be cancelled.
