According to information reported by Reuters, Iranian-backed Shia militias had entered the country to assist the Syrian Regime Army. IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MET WITH ASSAD IN DAMASCUSAdditionally, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi recently met with Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian capital, Damascus. During the meeting, Arakchi stated that Iran fully supports the Syrian people and army in the fight against terrorism, as well as in maintaining regional security and stability, adding that what is happening in Syria is part of the U.S. plan to plunge the region into chaos, and "As in the past, Syria will once again be on the winning side."
