He Hit Out of Nowhere, I Was Left Covered in Blood

"HE HIT OUT OF NOWHERE, I WAS LEFT COVERED IN BLOOD"

Speaking about the incident, Nurcihan Yıkılkan said, "I was doing cleaning. Around 18.30-19.00, my mother wanted pears. My mother can't see; she is disabled, and she has no teeth in her mouth either. I said, 'Mom, I'll get them, okay.' I was also doing housework. I went out to the market at those hours. There was a stall. There were some rotten fruits there. I was looking for ones suitable for my mother. There, the man said, 'What are you doing?' I said, 'Brother, it's like this, my mother can't see, she has no teeth in her mouth. I'll buy ripe pears.' He said, 'You can't.' I said, 'Brother, please.' He cursed, saying 'Your mother...' and said, 'You can't.' There, he hit my head out of nowhere. I couldn't understand what happened; I was left covered in blood. Is this how women should be treated? Don't these people have mothers, fathers, spouses, children? Can't we go to the market? Can't we buy what we want?" she said.
