In a fire that broke out in a market in the Akşehir district of Konya, the 5-year-old child of the market owner lost their life. Five people were also injured in the fire, including one firefighter.
In the Akşehir district of Konya, a fire broke out in a supermarket, resulting in the death of the market owner's 5-year-old child, and 5 others were injured, including a firefighter.
The fire started in the kitchen section of a supermarket located on the ground floor of a 5-story building on Cumhuriyet Boulevard in the Yeni Mahalle neighborhood of Akşehir. The fire quickly spread to the area where deodorants and perfumes were located. As a result, the fire spread rapidly, and upon notification, fire, health, police, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the address. The fire department intervened quickly and brought the fire under control.
5-YEAR-OLD CHILD DIED
During the fire, the market owner's 5-year-old son, Muhammed Kaan Örgün, who was reportedly in the office section at the back, lost his life. Those affected by smoke and injured, P.A.Ö. (8), B.Ö. (20), S.Ö. (46), and the market owner A.Ö. were taken to the hospital by ambulances, while firefighter R.İ. (28) sustained minor injuries to his hand. The Akşehir Yaren Search and Rescue teams, who arrived at the scene with the fire, also provided support to the teams in the evacuation of the injured.
APARTMENT EVACUATED
The apartment was evacuated during the fire as a precaution against any danger, and the public prosecutor conducted a detailed investigation at the scene. An investigation has been initiated regarding the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
