In the capital of Costa Rica, 29-year-old model and mother of two, Yuliana Castillo Sánchez, lost her life in a shooting that occurred during the daytime on October 1, 2024.

The incident took place while Castillo Sánchez was waiting at a bus stop. Two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire after a brief argument with the young woman. Castillo Sánchez, who was shot in the head, died at the scene.

A police spokesperson reported the details of the incident: "The victim encountered two men on motorcycles while trying to board a bus. Following an argument, one of the suspects fired, and they quickly fled the scene."

Authorities believe the attack was not robbery-related, as the victim's belongings were not stolen. This raises suspicions that the incident may have been a revenge attack.

It was noted that Instagram influencer Castillo Sánchez, who had approximately 15,000 followers, left behind two children aged 8 and 4. A family member stated, "Yuliana was a wonderful mother who worked hard to provide a better future for her children."

The police are continuing their investigation into the incident. The identity of the suspects and the exact motive for the attack have not yet been determined.
