In Diyarbakır, specialist sergeant Muhammed Recai Işık shot his wife Bedriye Işık, who was in the process of getting a divorce, and then took his own life. The incident occurred in front of a business in the city center.

The incident occurred around 4:00 PM in front of a business at the Turgut Özal Underground Bazaar on Melik Ahmet Street in the Sur district. According to allegations, specialist sergeant Muhammed Recai Işık shot his estranged wife Bedriye Işık, with whom he was in the process of divorce, using the gun he brought with him, seriously injuring her.

HE COMMITTED SUICIDE WITH THE SAME GUN

The specialist sergeant then put the gun to his head and fired. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that specialist sergeant Muhammed Recai Işık and Bedriye Işık had lost their lives under the control of the teams. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
