The incident occurred on June 6, 2026, in Mevlana neighborhood of Şehitkamil district. According to allegations, M.K. approached his young daughter Y.K. with his motorcycle and repeatedly slapped and beat her in the middle of the street. Then, moving his motorcycle, the suspect dragged his daughter, whom he held by her hair, behind him for a while.
The events were recorded by a nearby security camera. After the footage surfaced, police teams took action and arrested the suspect.
MOTHER CONFIRMED ALLEGATIONS OF VIOLENCE
In the police investigation, it was determined that the assaulted child was Y.K., born on May 21, 2019. After a health check, signs of bruising were detected on the child's elbows and back.
In her statement, the mother S.K. said that her husband M.K. is a drug addict and that during periods when he was under the influence of substances, he subjected both her and their children to violence.
It was learned that after the incident, the child, who was taken under supervision, was handed over to her mother upon the prosecutor's instruction.

In the police investigation, it was determined that the 34-year-old M.K. has a total of 12 criminal records for various offenses.
Judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspect, who was taken into custody upon the order of the Public Prosecutor, and it was reported that the investigation into the incident continues.
