A survey conducted in Israel revealed that 44% of the public believes negotiations should continue for a ceasefire and the second phase of the prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, while only 9% think that attacks on the Gaza Strip should resume.

Israeli state television KAN published a survey regarding the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's ongoing corruption trial.

HALF OF ISRAELIS WANT THE CEASEFIRE TO CONTINUE

According to KAN's survey, nearly half of the participants believe that Israel should continue the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, while only 9% expressed that attacks on the Gaza Strip should continue at the expense of not releasing Israeli prisoners.

The proportion of those supporting the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump's Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, which Israel has also adopted, to extend the ceasefire during the month of Ramadan and the Jewish Passover (April 12-20) remained at 34%. 13% of the respondents reported being undecided.

It is reported that Israel has obstructed the negotiations for the second phase of the agreement, which was supposed to start on February 3.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu prefers to extend the first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement until the end of Ramadan instead of moving to the second phase in the Gaza Strip.

41% OF THE PUBLIC DOES NOT FIND NETANYAHU SUITABLE FOR PRIME MINISTER

Participants in KAN's survey were also asked about their views on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's corruption trial.

Accordingly, 41% of the participants supported the declaration that it is inappropriate for Netanyahu, whose corruption trial is ongoing, to continue in the position of prime minister, while 28% supported the suspension of the corruption trial until Israel's attacks on Gaza completely cease.

18% of the respondents stated that they believe the corruption case against Netanyahu should be completely dropped, while 13% reported being undecided.

BEING TRIED IN THREE SEPARATE CASES

Netanyahu is being tried on charges of bribery, fraud, and abuse of power in three separate corruption cases known as "Case 1000," "Case 2000," and "Case 4000."
