In Istanbul, the strong southwesterly winds that began in the morning hours intensified with each passing second, causing flooding as waves several meters high crashed onto the shore in Kadıköy.

The General Directorate of Meteorology and AKOM's warnings about the ongoing south winds and heavy rainfall have turned day into night in the megacity of Istanbul.

The south winds, which continue to affect Istanbul, created giant waves in Kadıköy Kalamış. Waves reaching several meters in height crashed onto the shore, creating puddles in the coastal area.

Citizens trying to use the pedestrian path faced difficulties. A motorcyclist also got stuck in the water while on the pedestrian path. As a result of the efforts of the Kadıköy Municipality teams, the motorcycle was retrieved from where it sank.
