VEHICLES IN THE INDUSTRIAL AREA SET ON FIRE
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred late at night in the industrial site located in Tekke Neighborhood. An unidentified person set fire to five vehicles that were brought in for repair and parked in front of the shops using flammable material. Upon noticing the flames, citizens alerted the authorities, and fire and police teams were dispatched to the area.
The teams from the Tarsus Fire Department, affiliated with the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, arrived at the scene quickly and intervened in the fire, bringing the flames under control. The fire caused significant material damage to all five vehicles.
CAUGHT ON SECURITY CAMERA
After the incident, teams examining the security cameras in the area identified a suspicious individual. The footage showed a hooded person surveying the surroundings before picking up a flammable substance known as foam from the ground and moving forward. The teams, also reviewing other security cameras in the vicinity, initiated efforts to identify and capture the suspect responsible for the arson.
