Following the fire disaster in Bolu Kartalkaya, where we lost 78 citizens, 508 hotels and facilities were inspected in Muğla. In a statement from the governor's office, it was reported that 98 of them were closed until their deficiencies were addressed, and the closure procedures for 154 others are still ongoing.
Speaking in the 75th Year Hall, Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives in the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Kartalkaya Ski Resort, where 78 people died.
"WE HAVE INSPECTED 508 HOTELS AND FACILITIES TO DATE"
Stating that they conducted inspections in facilities located in Muğla with commissions established in coordination with the governorship at the provincial and district levels, Akbıyık said, "We have established provincial and district inspection commissions. To date, we have inspected 508 hotels and facilities. Of these, 98 were closed until their procedures were completed. The closure processes for 154 hotels and facilities are still ongoing and have been reported to the relevant municipalities."
IDENTIFIED DEFICIENCIES HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED
Akbıyık stated that all facilities under the Muğla Youth and Sports Directorate and the Ministry of National Education were also inspected, and that the identified deficiencies have been addressed, emphasizing that they are following the issue with sensitivity.
