The primary goal of this operation, which is advancing towards Aleppo, is to reach the borders of the Idlib de-escalation zone (IDZ) agreed upon in 2019. The operation continues within the eastern region of the borders agreed upon by Turkey, Iran, and Russia in 2019. Opposition forces have taken control of an area of 400 square kilometers, reaching within one kilometer of the outer neighborhoods of Aleppo city. The opposition groups also attacked the Aleppo Neyrab Military Airport with drones in the early hours of the day, destroying one helicopter.
