A STATEMENT FROM THE MUNICIPALITY
While those who did not hear the siren reacted to the situation, a written statement was made by Bulancak Municipality. In the statement titled 'Important Announcement' shared on the municipality's official social media accounts, the following was stated: "We bow respectfully before the sacred memory of our Republic's founder, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The 10 November Atatürk Memorial Ceremony Program in our district has been carried out as planned with the meticulous preparations of our institutions. However, the general siren system that was supposed to sound at 09:05 did not activate due to reasons beyond our technical control."

In a discussion with the Information Technologies Authority regarding the matter, it was reported that the system automatically went out of service due to high frequency mixing at the time the siren was supposed to sound. Nevertheless, the program was completed flawlessly with the sirens sounded from the official vehicles present at the ceremony site. This is respectfully announced to the public."
