The lawyer of Yüksel Güran, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment in the case of the murder of Narin Güran, filed an objection to her detention.

Yılmaz Demiroğlu, the lawyer of Yüksel Güran, submitted a petition to the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, which is conducting the trial, requesting the release of his client, to be sent to the Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court.

PETITION SENT TO THE 9TH HIGH CRIMINAL COURT

The panel of the 8th High Criminal Court, which evaluated the objection, unanimously decided to send the petition to the Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court.

On the other hand, the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court also sent the petition submitted by the lawyers Adnan Ataş and Ali Eryılmaz, who previously objected to the detention of Nevzat Bahtiyar, sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for the murder of Narin Güran, to the competent 9th High Criminal Court for the same reasons.

HAD RECEIVED AGGRAVATED LIFE IMPRISONMENT

In the ruling hearing held on December 28, 2024, at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, the detained defendants, mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran, were each sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional murder of a child in participation," while Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for "destroying, concealing, or altering evidence of a crime."
