A new development has occurred in the investigation initiated regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP. The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the statements of 86 individuals, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, have begun to be taken.
There has been a new development in the investigation regarding the allegations that "some party representatives have obtained benefits" during the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, held on November 4-5, 2023, at the Ankara Sports Hall.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Press Crimes Investigation Bureau, the statements of a total of 86 individuals, including the detained presidential candidate of the CHP, Ekrem İmamoğlu, have begun to be taken.
EXAMINATION OF ASSETS HAS ALSO BEEN INCLUDED IN THE FILE
Many official documents, such as MASAK reports, SGK records, and title deed records, were requested regarding the suspects, and necessary correspondence was made with the relevant public institutions. Additionally, investigations into the suspects' assets have also been included in the investigation file.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced on February 10 that an investigation had been initiated regarding the allegation that "votes were bought on the day of the congress" during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023.
Three separate courts had rejected the requests for the removal of the current administration as a "precautionary measure" on February 26.
