A.S., who wanted to buy a car, was informed by the seller that the 1996 model Toyota Corolla he liked had only 2 parts replaced. After the person wanting to sell the vehicle showed the previously conducted inspection report, A.S. took the vehicle for a re-inspection.
THE FRONT, BACK, AND ROOF TURNED OUT TO BE DIFFERENT COLORS
The report prepared after the inspection conducted here determined that the front, back, roof, and pillar sections of the vehicle were of different colors. Following the detailed inspection, it was reported that the roof of the vehicle and the front and rear sections belonged to different vehicles of the same make and model. After seeing the report, A.S. returned the vehicle to the person from whom he bought it.
PARTS TAKEN FROM DIFFERENT VEHICLES
Pointing out the increasing incidents of vehicle assembly, auto inspection expert Şenol Uysal stated, "They brought a vehicle saying it had 2 replaced parts, but all the replaced parts had been disassembled and reassembled, and 5 of those parts were noted in the report. When we examined this vehicle, we determined that the roof was different, there were cuts from the pillars, and all the other parts had been replaced with used ones, confirming that it was a composite vehicle made from parts taken from different vehicles. We showed these to both the buyer and the seller one by one, and they were convinced. Those who were going to buy this vehicle decided not to proceed and expressed their gratitude to us," he said.
"BEFORE BUYING A CAR, MAKE SURE TO TAKE IT TO AN INSPECTION"
Uysal warned citizens who want to buy a vehicle, saying, "There is always at least one good master in every city. We advise everyone to contact these masters. May God bring you together with honest people. May God grant you to eat halal food. This is a matter of rights. Therefore, everyone should work with honest masters. Our citizens who want to buy a vehicle should definitely show their vehicle to an inspection before purchasing. They should evaluate whether the inspection is good or bad by looking at the comments of the inspections, the internet reviews, and the ratings of the inspections. Not every inspection that comes your way is good. It doesn't matter whether it is institutional or not. If the master is good, the inspection is good. If the master is bad, no matter which company's name it works under, it is not a correct thing and is doomed to make mistakes," he stated.
