The mayor's police chief in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa faced significant backlash on social media after sternly warning market vendors by lining them up.
"DON'T GET SPOILED" OUTBURST
On September 16, during an inspection at the market area, Tayyar Direk, the police chief of the DEM Party's Viranşehir Municipality, lined up the market vendors. Direk warned the vendors with the words, "As long as I show you goodwill, you are getting spoiled. From now on, you will get your act together. Crossing the line is a crime, and legal action will be taken."

The recorded footage quickly spread on social media. Following the backlash, it was learned that the videos were removed from the municipality's page.
