After a fire broke out in a 13-story apartment building in Diyarbakır, one more person among those taken into custody was arrested following the death of four individuals from the same family. The number of those arrested in connection with the incident has risen to three.
In Diyarbakır, one suspect was arrested in the investigation regarding the fire that broke out in a 13-story apartment building, resulting in the death of four family members.
The investigation initiated by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues regarding the fire that occurred on June 5 in an apartment located on 566th Street in the Fırat neighborhood of the central Kayapınar district, which claimed the lives of mother Bircan Çavdar (36) and her children Yunus Emre (12), Elif (10), and Zeynep (4).
ANOTHER PERSON ARRESTED IN THE FIRE TRAGEDY
While the procedures of the suspects at the police continue, security forces detained two more inspection officials. Four suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station. After their interrogations at the prosecutor's office, one suspect was released. Of the suspects brought before the duty magistrate, one was arrested, and two were released under judicial control measures.
MOTHER AND 3 CHILDREN HAD DIED
After the fire that broke out on June 5 in the 13-story apartment on 566th Street in the Fırat neighborhood, 17 people were taken to the hospital, among whom the mother and her three children lost their lives, and five people were detained.
Among the suspects, the building inspection responsible B.C. and contractor M.A. were arrested by the magistrate court for the crime of "causing the death and injury of multiple people through negligence," while the others were released under judicial control decisions.
