HE RECEIVED 10 MONTHS IN PRISON
As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegation of encouraging illegal betting, Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil were referred to the court with a request for arrest after their statements to the prosecutor's office, and a judicial control decision was made in the form of 'house arrest.' The second hearing of the case in which Serdar Ortaç is being tried for 'illegal betting advertisement and encouragement' was held today at the 25th Criminal Court of First Instance in the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. The court sentenced Ortaç to 10 months in prison and a judicial fine of 400 lira. The court panel decided to suspend the execution of the sentence.
JUDICIAL CONTROL LIFTED
In the indictment, it was requested that Serdar Ortaç be punished with up to 3 years in prison for the crimes of 'encouraging and advertising illegal betting.' The court also ruled to lift the judicial control decision.
