The host of the program "Cold War," Boğaç Soydemir, and guest Enes Akgündüz were arrested due to mocking remarks made about the hadith of Prophet Muhammad in the episode aired on YouTube.
As part of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Boğaç Soydemir, the host of the Cold War program, and guest Enes Akgündüz, who were detained for mocking the hadith of Prophet Muhammad, have been arrested.
COLD WAR HOST AND GUEST DETAINED
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation under Article 216/1 of the Turkish Penal Code for the crime of "inciting hatred and hostility in the public or humiliation" due to mocking the hadith of Prophet Muhammad in the program named "Cold War." A detention order was issued for Boğaç Soydemir, the host of the program, and Enes Akgündüz, the guest of the program.
THEY HAVE BEEN ARRESTED
Soydemir and Akgündüz were referred to the court after their procedures at the prosecutor's office. They were arrested by the court to which they were brought.
