In the Gaza Strip, where Israel's attacks continue, the number of babies who have died from freezing has risen to six. It was reported that two of the deceased babies were twins and passed away one day apart.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has continued its attacks on the Gaza Strip, displacing nearly the entire population, and the number of babies who have died from freezing in the last week has risen to 6.

According to a statement from the Media Office of the Palestinian government in Gaza, a baby named Ali al-Batran, who was forcibly displaced by Israel and living in a tent, died due to the cold weather. The statement also mentioned that Ali's twin, Juma al-Batran, also lost his life yesterday due to the severe cold. With the death of baby Ali, the number of babies who have died from the cold in the Gaza Strip in the last week has risen to 6.

THEY ARE LIVING IN SHANTY TENTS

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip, which has a population of approximately 2.3 million, has continued. According to United Nations (UN) data, 9 out of 10 people in Gaza have been displaced due to Israeli attacks. A large portion of the displaced Palestinians in Gaza are forced to live in makeshift tents due to the severe destruction caused by Israeli attacks. However, with the drop in temperature, the living conditions of Palestinians in Gaza have become even more difficult.

TINY BODIES CANNOT WITHSTAND THE COLD WEATHER

Palestinians who are forced to live in makeshift tents made of fabric and nylon are struggling to survive in harsh living conditions due to the lack of basic necessities such as clothing, bedding, and blankets with the arrival of winter. The tiny bodies of the babies staying in makeshift tents with their families often succumb to the cold weather.
