In the Darıca district of Kocaeli, a woman who wanted to cross the road with her two children was attacked after reacting to a driver who did not give way. The moments when the woman was assaulted by three thugs in front of her 5-year-old child were captured on security cameras. It was also reported that the children sustained bruises in various places during the chaos.
While trying to cross the street with her two small children in the Darıca district of Kocaeli, Zerrin Bük reportedly reacted verbally to a driver who was distracted by their phone and did not give way. Following her reaction, the people in the vehicle began to insult the mother. At that moment, the woman's son, who was around 15 years old and was in the shop, noticed the situation and went to his mother's side.
MOTHER AND SON WERE ASSAULTED
The advancing driver suddenly stopped upon hearing the woman's son calling out to them and ran towards them along with two other people in the vehicle. While the mother and son were being assaulted, bystanders who noticed the incident rushed to intervene and drive the attackers away. In the chaos, the children sustained various bruises. The mother, along with her children, obtained a report of the assault and filed a complaint against the attackers.

The moments when the mother was talking to the people in the vehicle and the individuals ran towards her were captured by security cameras. The police launched an investigation into the incident following the complaint.
"HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY ATTACKING A CHILD AND A WOMAN AGED 5 AND 15?"
The assaulted mother, Zerrin Bük, stated, "As I was about to cross, I asked the friends to slow down. They were looking at their phones while driving. They responded to me with insults. I said, 'Could you please calm down a bit?' I had my 5-year-old child with me. After going a little further, about 3 meters later, my son reacted by saying, 'Why are you insulting my mother?' when he heard the insults. Then they suddenly braked and attacked my son. When I intervened, they threw my little child aside and hit me violently on the arm, and they attacked my son with punches, kicks, and slaps. At that moment, my 5-year-old child wet himself. My 15-year-old child is not even himself. His head is swollen, and his nose is swollen. How will I fix my 5-year-old child's psychology? How can we achieve justice? I beg you, find these people and bring them to justice. How do you justify attacking a child aged 15 and 5 and a woman?"
"WE DID NOT BEAT ANYONE"
The driver of the vehicle, U.B., stated, "We did not beat anyone. The woman was not on the pedestrian path, yet we gave her way. However, after giving way, the woman started to insult us. Therefore, we continued on our way without prolonging the incident by saying 'she is a woman.' Later, a young man who came to the scene insulted us severely. I could not ignore this situation and got out of the vehicle to approach the young person. However, when I realized that the young person was the woman's son, I did not intervene and stopped. The two people with me are my relatives. They also got out of the vehicle to calm me down and stop me," he said.
