Intense sales were particularly observed in major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir. HOUSING SALES INCREASED BY 16.4% FROM JANUARY TO NOVEMBER

The provinces with the highest number of housing sales were Istanbul with 26,320, Ankara with 14,916, and Izmir with 8,583, while the provinces with the least sales were Bayburt with 89, Tunceli with 99, and Hakkari with 121. Housing sales from January to November increased by 16.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1,265,388.

MORTGAGED HOUSING SALES REACHED 21,804

In Turkey, mortgaged housing sales in November increased by 315.7% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 21,804. The share of mortgaged sales in total housing sales was 14.2%. Mortgaged housing sales from January to November decreased by 21.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 135,209. In November, 5,213; and in the January-November period, 32,082 mortgaged housing sales were made as first-hand sales.

131,210 HOUSES CHANGED HANDS THROUGH OTHER SALES TYPES

In Turkey, other housing sales in November increased by 48.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 131,210. The share of other sales in total housing sales was 85.8%. Other housing sales from January to November increased by 23.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1,130,179.

FIRST-HAND HOUSING SALES REACHED 49,274

In Turkey, the number of first-hand housing sales in November increased by 61.7% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 49,274. The share of first-hand housing sales in total housing sales was 32.2%. First-hand housing sales from January to November increased by 24.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 407,832.

103,740 HOUSES CHANGED HANDS IN SECOND-HAND SALES

In Turkey, the number of second-hand housing sales in November increased by 64.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 103,740. The share of second-hand housing sales in total housing sales was 67.8%. Second-hand housing sales from January to November increased by 13.0% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 857,556.

2,151 HOUSES SOLD TO FOREIGNERS IN NOVEMBER

Housing sales to foreigners in November decreased by 8.2% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 2,151. In November, the share of housing sales to foreigners in total housing sales was 1.4%. The provinces with the highest number of housing sales to foreigners were Istanbul with 780, Antalya with 752, and Mersin with 191.

THE MOST HOUSING SALES WERE MADE TO CITIZENS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Housing sales to foreigners from January to November decreased by 35.1% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 21,363. In November, the highest number of housing sales by nationality was made to citizens of the Russian Federation with 421, followed by Iran with 200, and Ukraine with 160.
