The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that the forest fires in İzmir, Manisa, and Bilecik have been completely brought under control, while the fires in Hatay and Manisa Ahmetli have been largely contained. According to meteorological data, the fire risk is high for the upcoming week; the ministry has urged citizens to remain cautious.
Recently, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared up-to-date information regarding the forest fires that have been affecting different regions of Turkey through the social media platform X.

According to Minister Yumaklı's statement, the fires in the Seferihisar and Menderes districts of İzmir, as well as in the Akhisar, Kula, and Saruhanlı districts of Manisa, and in the Vezirhan town of Bilecik have been completely brought under control. In the fires in the Antakya district of Hatay and the Ahmetli district of Manisa, significant control has been achieved. It was noted that cooling efforts are ongoing in these areas. Yumaklı thanked all public institutions, non-governmental organizations, volunteers, and citizens involved in the fight against the fires, stating, "This battle is not just ours; it is a struggle that we all must fight together."
WARNING AGAINST FIRE RISK
Minister Yumaklı emphasized that, according to meteorological data, the fire risk is very high in the upcoming week and made the following warnings to citizens:
- Do not burn stubble
- Do not light fires in forested areas
- Do not throw cigarette butts
- Do not leave trash and waste in nature
- Keep a water tanker while working with agricultural machinery
- If smoke or flames are noticed, call 112 without delay

Yumaklı stated, "The real success is not putting out fires, but preventing them from occurring in the first place," emphasizing the importance of social awareness and cooperation in the protection of forests.
