The Grand National Assembly of Turkey will continue its intensive work in the new week. The Parliamentary Planning and Budget Commission will meet on Tuesday, October 22. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will present the budget.

PENALTIES WILL INCREASE 10 TIMES
With the regulation, penalties for misleading and deceptive advertisements will increase tenfold. The direct sales system will be restructured. Measures will be taken to prevent victimization caused by practices referred to as pyramid schemes.
It is also expected that the motion regarding the extension of the Turkish soldiers' duty in Lebanon for another year will be discussed in the general assembly.
Another bill on the parliament's agenda is the 9th judicial package. With the regulation, crimes of insult committed through verbal, written, or visual communication will be removed from 'reconciliation' and included in the scope of 'prepayment'. The complaint period for insult crimes in this situation is limited to 2 years. This aims to prevent abuses.
BUDGET MARATHON IS STARTING
The budget marathon is starting in the parliament. The Parliamentary Planning and Budget Commission will meet on Tuesday, October 22. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will present the budget.
On Wednesday, October 30, discussions on the overall budget will be held in the Planning and Budget Commission. Following that, according to the established schedule, the budgets of ministries and institutions will be discussed.
