A famous singer, Hande Yener, is under investigation for "targeting the constitutional order" and "insulting the President" due to the claim that she joined the audience in chanting a slogan during her concert. Yener has been summoned for questioning.
The Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation against Hande Yener, one of the well-known names in pop music, for "targeting the constitutional order" and "insulting the President." The prosecutor's office has instructed the relevant units to take the artist's statement.
It was learned that in the investigation document, the file was initially sent to the Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, but after a decision of lack of jurisdiction was made here, the file was examined by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the concert that took place in Muğla on May 15, 2025.
"RECEIVING HIS DEFENSE"
The following was stated in the sent referral letter:
"According to the contents of the CİMER application petition sent with our letter and the response letter dated 05/12/2025 from the Menteşe District Police Department Commissioner Hamdi Bey Police Center, as well as the response letter dated 09/12/2025 from the Muğla Provincial Police Department Security Branch, it is requested that the documents for the instruction to receive his defense be sent to our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, as it has been reported that during the concert he gave in the socio-cultural field on 15/05/2025 as part of the spring festivities, he chanted slogans such as "Jump Jump, Non-Jumping Tayyipçi" while accompanying the audience from the stage, and during the concert held on May 18, 2025, at the Harbiye Open-Air Stage in Istanbul, he made a statement saying, "We will turn this era beautifully..."
