Iran executed Babak Shahbazi, who was sentenced to death for working on behalf of Mossad. Iran executed a person sentenced to death for working on behalf of the Israeli foreign intelligence agency Mossad. In a report by the Iranian official news agency IRNA, it was stated that "Mossad agent Babek Shehbazi, who cooperated with the Zionist regime in intelligence, espionage, and security matters, and exchanged information with individuals affiliated with this regime, was executed this morning after the ruling given in the judicial process was confirmed by the Supreme Court."
OFFERED TO SELL INFORMATION AND REQUESTED MONEY
It was reported that Shehbazi, who worked in the design and installation of industrial cooling devices in companies affiliated with telecommunications, military, and security institutions, offered to sell information about high-ranking government officials and their whereabouts and movements after meeting with a Mossad agent named Ismail Fikri, and that he requested permanent residency rights in the USA for himself and his family, along with 120 million dollars in cash or cryptocurrency.
INTELLIGENCE THROUGH ONLINE MEETINGS
Following this, in February 2024, upon the request of a Mossad officer, it was stated that Shehbazi and Fikri transmitted intelligence to Israelis during their conversations on Skype.
In subsequent processes, it was recorded that Shehbazi communicated with Mossad officers with the code name Sami Benjamin Michael and received training from Mossad.
It was reported that Shehbazi was captured after the arrest of Mossad agent Ismail Fikri and confessed during interrogation.
