ATTACK ANNOUNCED BY IRANIAN ARMY
In a statement from the Iranian army, it was stated that the US base in Jordan was targeted within the scope of the 23rd wave of "Operation Lightning" in retaliation for the US attacks on Iranian soil.
The statement claimed that buildings and ammunition depots belonging to US elements at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan were hit with missiles and drones.
JORDAN: 4 OF 6 MISSILES FIRED FROM IRAN INTERCEPTED, 2 LANDED IN EMPTY AREAS
Jordan's official news agency PETRA reported that Jordan's air defense systems detected and intercepted 6 missiles launched from Iran into the country's territory.
It was stated that 4 of the missiles fired from Iran were neutralized, while 2 landed in empty areas and did not cause any casualties or damage.
It was noted that engineering teams went to the area where the two missiles fell and worked on the missile fragments in line with technical and security procedures.
ERBIL ALSO TARGETED BY IRANIAN ATTACKS
Meanwhile, Iran simultaneously launched attacks on Erbil, Iraq.
Iraqi media reported that after loud explosions were heard in Erbil, 5 kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down by air defense systems.
EXPLOSIONS IN MULTIPLE CITIES IN IRAN
After the US announced it had launched attacks on Iran during the night, it was reported that multiple explosion sounds were heard in different parts of the country.
Various regions of Iran's Khuzestan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Hamadan, and Kurdistan provinces, as well as the city of Tabriz, were targeted by US missile and air strikes.
