Following the spread of allegations that Turkey sells oil to Israel, a statement came from the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ). The institution's statement stated that the allegations regarding oil exports are baseless.

An announcement was made by the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) in response to allegations that Turkey is exporting oil to Israel. The allegations have been denied in the statement.

"NO ACTIVITY WHATSOEVER"

In the statement issued by the company, it was emphasized that there is a need to inform the public correctly regarding the baseless allegations that oil is being exported to Israel.

The statement made by the institution stated, "There is a need to inform the public correctly regarding the baseless allegations that BOTAŞ exports oil to Israel. BOTAŞ does not have any activity related to the sale and trade of crude oil."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Israel, which started bombing Gaza on October 7, 2023, under the pretext of responding to the attacks of Hamas' military wing, the Kassam Brigades, killed approximately 40,000 Palestinians.

Following the allegations that Turkey continued its trade with Israel since the beginning of the attacks, the Ministry of Trade made a statement announcing the termination of trade with Israel.

In the statement on May 2, it was stated that Turkey restricted the export of 54 product groups to Israel starting from April 9, 2024, and as part of the second phase of measures, "export and import transactions related to Israel have been suspended for all products."
