In an operation conducted in Istanbul and Yalova, 9 suspects identified as providing financial support to the armed terrorist organization ISIS were detained. It was determined that the suspects transferred money to the families of individuals operating on behalf of the organization in war zones.
Nine people were detained in an operation targeting suspects identified as providing financial support to the armed terrorist organization ISIS in Istanbul and Yalova. It was determined that the suspects transferred money to the families of individuals conducting activities on behalf of the organization in conflict zones. Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch initiated efforts to identify and capture suspects financing the armed terrorist organization ISIS, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION
In the conducted investigations, it was established that the suspects transferred money to the families of individuals conducting activities on behalf of the organization in conflict zones. Following the completion of the investigations, a simultaneous operation was carried out this morning in Istanbul and Yalova against the identified suspects. Nine suspects were captured and detained during the operation. Numerous digital materials, organizational documents, and documents related to money transfers were seized during searches conducted at the addresses of the suspects. The detained suspects were taken to the police for processing.
