After the midnight price hikes on fuel, a discount has now appeared at the pump. Diesel will see a reduction of 3.70 TL, while gasoline will be reduced by 2.20 TL. However, due to the escalator mobile application, only 25% of these discounts will be reflected at the pump.
After the price increases made at midnight, a discount is coming to fuel this time. The developments in fuel prices have drawn attention. Starting from midnight, diesel prices increased by 6.58 TL, while gasoline prices rose by 93 kuruş, and in the morning hours, news of a discount came.
The escalating tensions in the Middle East and attacks on energy infrastructures directly affect Brent crude oil prices, and this situation continues to reflect on fuel prices in Turkey.
A DISCOUNT IS COMING AFTER THE INCREASE
After the increases, the price of diesel exceeded 80 TL in some regions, and with the new regulation, a discount of 3.70 TL on diesel and 2.20 TL on gasoline is expected to be implemented starting tomorrow.
THE ESCAL MOBIL SYSTEM IS IN OPERATION
The entire discount will not be reflected at the pump. Under the Escal Mobil System, approximately 75% of the discount will be covered by the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV), while the remaining 25% is expected to be reflected in pump prices. However, it is stated that the final price change will be clarified by the decision of higher authorities.
PRICES HAVE NEARED THE 80 TL LIMIT
After the last increases, diesel prices rose to 77.65 TL in Istanbul, 78.77 TL in Ankara, and 79.05 TL in Izmir. In the eastern provinces, diesel approached 81 TL, while gasoline prices neared the 66 TL limit. Gasoline prices have been updated to 62.96 TL in Istanbul, 63.94 TL in Ankara, and 64.23 TL in Izmir.
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES DETERMINED IN TURKEY?
In Turkey, fuel prices are determined by adding the ÖTV and EPDK share to the duty-free refinery price. The duty-free refinery price is calculated based on the product prices announced in the Mediterranean-Italian market and the exchange rate.
