İsmail Kartal, who was appointed as the head coach for the 4th time at Fenerbahçe, met with the press members at the Topuk Plateau camp. The experienced coach called for unity in the community for the championship, saying, "İrfan Can Kahveci and Jayden Oosterwolde will be with us this season. There will naturally be those leaving."
Fenerbahçe Technical Director İsmail Kartal met with press members at the Düzce Topuk Plateau Facilities, where the yellow-navy team is continuing its first phase of pre-season preparations for the new season. During the first camp of the new period, Kartal made striking statements about the team's latest situation, the targeted playing system, and transfer planning, giving hope to the community.
"I KNOW WHAT THE FANS WANT"
Expressing his great satisfaction with the work, Kartal stated that they aim to build a team that reflects the Fenerbahçe spirit, as expected by the yellow-navy fans. The experienced coach, saying they will gift the fans the enthusiastic football played by leading European clubs, added:
"Our fans want to see a team that attacks and reveals the Fenerbahçe spirit. This game is one where players put in more effort on the field but are happier. I know what the fans want. We are working day and night on this path. I am trying to build a team that embodies the Fenerbahçe spirit and does not give in. With both good football and good results, hopefully we will become champions."
"IF WE ARE TO BECOME CHAMPIONS, WE MUST BE TOGETHER"
Reminding that he also met with the management twice for the technical director role during former president Sadettin Saran's term, the coach called for unity and solidarity within the community:
"This year we have only one goal: to become champions. I also call on my former footballer friends and our brothers who comment. We must be united. They could be in this position one day. Criticism should be constructive; there is a need for tolerance. If we are to become champions, we must be together. We must support this team shoulder to shoulder. "TRANSFERS WILL BE FINALIZED AFTER THE WORLD CUP"
İsmail Kartal stated that transfer work continues in coordination with the management and they have finalized some decisions. Emphasizing that they are working with a broad squad of 30 players at Topuk Plateau, the 65-year-old coach continued:
"There are some things we have finalized regarding transfers right now; our management is working. I have submitted my report for the necessary reinforcements. There are players we are following and in contact with. We have many players, so naturally some will have to leave. I am satisfied for now, but the World Cup is ongoing. Some players may receive offers and leave. All of this will become clear after the World Cup. We are trying to prepare the team for the first match on the 21st based on the players we have."
"İRFAN CAN KAHVECİ AND OOSTERWOLDE WILL BE WITH US"
Kartal, stating they will reduce the number of players in the squad by the first official match, officially announced the names of two stars included in next season's planning:
"İrfan Can Kahveci and Jayden Oosterwolde will be with us this season. There will naturally be departures. We have too many foreign players and the 10+4 rule is in effect. We are putting all these on the table and thinking with the technical team about which players we should proceed with, suitable for our playing system. We are planning how to continue from where we left off."
