APPROXIMATELY 2 MILLION PEOPLE FORCIBLY DISPLACED IN GAZA
In Gaza, where approximately 2.3 million people live, forced migration has become a part of the lives of Palestinians. Since the attacks started on October 7, 2023, about 2 million Palestinians in Gaza have been forcibly displaced. Due to the attacks by the Israeli army, millions of Palestinians have been forced to migrate multiple times.
Israel, which has repeatedly displaced Palestinians who took refuge in Han Yunus and Rafah in the south of Gaza, continues to force the local population into forced migration. Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee also asked Palestinians to urgently evacuate the areas east of Han Yunus for their own security in a statement on X social media platform on July 1.
