The Israeli army announced that it will withdraw from all villages and towns in Lebanon tomorrow as part of the ceasefire agreement, but it will continue to be stationed on five key hills.
As part of the ceasefire agreement that began on November 27, 2024, between Israel and Lebanon, while Tel Aviv is expected to completely withdraw from the southern part of the country tomorrow, the Israeli army announced that it will not withdraw from 5 points.
ISRAEL WILL NOT WITHDRAW FROM 5 STRATEGIC POINTS IN LEBANON
In a statement made by the Israeli army, it was stated that they will continue to be stationed on 5 dominant hills in southern Lebanon, which include a hill near Labbouneh opposite the Israeli border town of Shlomi, the Jabal Blat peak opposite Zar'it, a hill opposite Avivim and Malkia, a hill opposite Margaliot, and a hill opposite Metula.
WITHDRAWAL FROM VILLAGES AND TOWNS ON THE BORDER
The army reported that the mentioned points are outside the Lebanese settlements, stating that all Israeli soldiers will withdraw from the villages and towns on the Lebanese border by 10:00 local time tomorrow.
"RESPONSES WILL BE GIVEN TO IMMINENT THREATS THAT VIOLATE THE CEASEFIRE"
The army indicated that the infrastructure and weapons belonging to Hezbollah in areas close to the Israeli border have been almost completely destroyed, and that responses will be given to imminent threats that violate the ceasefire after the withdrawal, and that other violations will be reported to a committee led by the United States. The Israeli army pledged to coordinate with the U.S. to intervene in attacks in cases where the Lebanese army does not take action.
