The Israel Hayom newspaper, which is close to the Netanyahu administration, published an outrageous article claiming that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has become a "security issue" for Israel. The newspaper stated, "Israel should prepare an emergency operation to rescue the northern part of the island in coordination with Greece and Southern Cyprus."
The Israeli newspaper Hayom published a provocative article claiming that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has become a security issue for Israel.
The article stated that Israel should prepare an emergency plan for the region in coordination with Greece and Southern Cyprus. The analysis titled "Northern Cyprus is also an Israeli problem" targeted the Turkish military presence in the TRNC.
"SUCH AN OPERATION WILL RENDER TURKEY INEFFECTIVE"
In an article signed by Shay Gal titled "Northern Cyprus is also an Israeli problem," the Turkish power and activities on the island were described in detail, stating, "It is not Israel's duty or desire to save Northern Cyprus. However, if the threat from the region reaches a critical threshold, Israel's strategic posture should change. Israel should prepare an emergency operation to save the northern part of the island in coordination with Greece and Cyprus. Such an operation would neutralize Turkey's reinforcements coming from the mainland, eliminate air defense systems in Northern Cyprus, destroy intelligence and command centers, and ultimately restore internationally recognized Cypriot sovereignty by removing Turkish forces." it was stated.
"AN EMERGENCY PLAN SHOULD BE MADE"
In the continuation of the article, it was mentioned, "This emergency plan could be named 'Poseidon's Wrath,' which emphasizes maritime dominance and the devastating consequences of the worst-case scenario, named after the Greek sea god. This name highlights Israel's focus on protecting its strategic maritime assets and safeguarding critical open sea routes for regional security. This will remain an emergency plan: Israel is not seeking conflict but must be fully prepared. The attack on Iran's nuclear infrastructure, which was previously seen as a highly unlikely scenario, was eventually carried out. Turkey, which is building the problematic Akkuyu nuclear power plant on the Mediterranean coast, must internalize these lessons." it was stated.
"TURKEY IS STRENGTHENING ITS REGIONAL POWER"
Additionally, it was claimed that Turkey has over 40,000 military personnel in the TRNC, and this number is steadily increasing. Furthermore, it was suggested that Turkey is strengthening its naval elements in the region and is particularly continuing preparations to establish a naval base in the Karpaz region. It was pointed out that Turkey is actively deploying Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı-type drones to strengthen its regional power, and these UAVs, which are claimed to be stationed at Geçitkale Air Base, are said to be an effective deterrent limiting Israel's air and naval movements in the Eastern Mediterranean.
"TURKISH DRONES MAY TARGET ISRAEL'S NAVY"
The analysis also claimed that Turkey has transformed the abandoned Lefkoniko Airport into a drone base due to regional gas disputes. It was noted that Turkey can deploy armed Bayraktar TB2 and the more advanced Akıncı UAVs introduced in July from here much faster than from its mainland bases. These UAVs are said to have the capacity to quickly target Israel's gas drilling rigs, naval vessels, and strategic areas.
Additionally, it was stated that Turkey could directly threaten Israel's critical natural gas platforms with ATMACA anti-ship missiles with a range of over 200 kilometers, and the new Tayfun Block-4 ballistic missiles have the capacity to hit precise targets up to 560 kilometers away. Furthermore, it was suggested that missile bases in Kyrenia and Famagusta are ready, and this situation constitutes Turkey's first direct ballistic threat to Israel with the potential to strike Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa Bay.
"GAZAP" HAD CAUSED FEAR IN ISRAELI MEDIA
After our country recently introduced the world's most powerful non-nuclear bomb, GAZAP, it caused a wide reaction in the Israeli media. Channel 14 stated, "Turkey introduced its unprecedentedly powerful bomb GAZAP, which shatters into tens of thousands of deadly pieces and causes widespread destruction. Although it is not a nuclear weapon, the powerful explosion and widespread shrapnel effect in the live demonstration at the fair resemble scenes from wartime."
