Israeli officials claimed that General Muhammad Pakpur, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in attacks on Iran early in the morning. No official confirmation has yet come from Iran or the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
HE HAD COME TO OFFICE IN PLACE OF SELAMI
According to a report by the Times of Israel, General Muhammad Pakpur took over the IRGC after his predecessor, Hussein Selami, was killed in the early days of the war that began in June 2025. Israeli officials stated that Pakpour was targeted in this morning's attacks and may have been killed.
DEFENSE MINISTER AND INTELLIGENCE CHIEF WERE ALSO TARGETED
Israeli sources assessed that the Iranian Defense Minister and the intelligence chief may also have lost their lives in the attacks. However, no official confirmation has been shared regarding the status of these individuals.
HAMANEY AND PEZEŞKİYAN WERE ALSO TARGETED
Officials reported that Iran's religious leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian were among those targeted in the attacks carried out in the morning. Israeli officials stated that they conducted a comprehensive operation against Iran's senior military and political cadre, while official authorities have not yet made a definitive statement regarding the toll of the attacks.
