The Kuwait Sahara Hospital reported that five Palestinians, including two children and two women, lost their lives as a result of Israeli aircraft targeting the tents of displaced people in Khan Younis. At least 32 people were injured in the attack.
The attacks struck the coastal area of Gaza, al-Mawasi. Health teams stated that the deceased included two women aged 46 and 30, a 36-year-old man, and two boys aged eight and ten. First aid and rescue workers told the BBC that they were retrieving bodies from the al-Najat camp, where hundreds of displaced people have been living in tents in recent months. The Israeli army announced that it had "hit a Hamas terrorist" following the injury of five soldiers early on December 3. Reports indicated that at least 32 people were injured in the attack.
''CLEARLY VIOLATED''
In a statement by the Israeli army, it was said, "The Hamas terrorist organization clearly violated the ceasefire agreement by attacking Israeli forces stationed in the Rafah area." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had promised "appropriate retaliation" in his statements throughout the day. Eyewitnesses reported that the first attack targeted a tent in the area where displaced people lived in al-Mawasi, followed by explosions near the Kuwait hospital, causing panic among the families remaining there.
HAMAS: BARBARIC, DISCRIMINATELESS ATTACK
Hamas described Israel's actions as barbaric, indiscriminate, and a violation of the ceasefire that began on October 10. The Israeli army had launched attacks on Gaza in response to the assault carried out by Hamas on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and 251 people taken hostage. According to the health ministry run by Hamas in the region, more than 70,100 Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli attacks.
