All flights from and to Istanbul Airport temporarily halted due to adverse weather conditions.

Turkiye's mega-Istanbul Airport was shut to flights on Monday due to heavy snowfall in the city.

"Dear passengers, due to adverse weather conditions, all flights at Istanbul Airport have been temporarily stopped for flight safety," Istanbul Airport operator IGA posted on Twitter.

Separately, national flag carrier Turkish Airlines suspended its operations at Istanbul Airport until 4.00 am local time (01.00GMT) on Tuesday, Yahya Ustun, Turkish Airlines' senior vice president for media relations, said on Twitter. -
