As the negative effects of the global economic crisis are increasingly felt in Turkey, the Özel Aksu Göztepe Hospital, which has been serving in Kadıköy for 33 years, has also been adversely affected by the situation. After experiencing financial difficulties, the large hospital declared concordat a few months ago, and the court has now issued a bankruptcy decision.
Founded in 1992, 'Özel Göztepe Hastanesi' was sold to Aksu Holding last year and its name was changed to 'Özel Aksu Göztepe Hastanesi'. After the transfer process, both the holding and the hospital faced financial difficulties, and the Istanbul Anadolu 2nd Commercial Court decided on the bankruptcy of Aksu Holding and Özel Aksu Göztepe Hastanesi.
REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF CONCORDAT REFUSED
According to the news from Murat Beyaz of Gerçek Gündem, the request for an extension of the concordat made by Aksu Holding's Chairman of the Board, Ali Asker Aksu, was rejected following the report of the concordat commissioner committee. The court, which determined that the companies owned by Aksu Holding were in debt, declared bankruptcy for both the company and the hospital.
LIQUIDATION PROCESS HAS BEGUN
Following the court's bankruptcy decision, the liquidation process for Aksu Holding and Özel Aksu Göztepe Hastanesi has begun. It was decided that the bankruptcy liquidation for both companies would be conducted according to the ordinary liquidation procedure. Additionally, the duties of the concordat commissioner committee were terminated, and all previously taken precautionary measures were lifted.
