The driver who fled from the police in Bornova and was stopped after crashing into parked vehicles was found to have a prison sentence of 5 years and 10 months for the crime of sexual assault.

THE DRIVER DID NOT OBEY THE POLICE 'STOP' WARNING

The incident occurred around 11:00 PM yesterday in the Küçükpark neighborhood of Kazımdirik. According to reports, the police signaled the driver of a light commercial vehicle to 'stop' due to suspicion in the Buca district. The driver, Y.Ö., did not comply with the police's 'stop' warning and began to flee. The chase between the police and the suspect started in the Buca district and continued to the Bornova district. Y.Ö. continued to escape by entering the wrong way with the light commercial vehicle. After colliding with parked vehicles, Y.Ö. was caught and detained by the police.

IT WAS DETERMINED THAT HE WAS WANTED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT

During the GBT check on Y.Ö., it was revealed that he had a confirmed prison sentence of 5 years and 10 months for the crime of 'sexual assault'. It was learned that Y.Ö.'s procedures at the police station are ongoing.
