The late Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan's speech describing a possible U.S. intervention in Iran years ago has come back to the agenda following recent developments. Erbakan had described what happened to Iran in the last 2 days with the words, "America will bring 3-5 American aircraft carriers to the Iranian sea. From there, they will launch missiles and bomb Tehran."
Erbakan's speech from years ago, in which he made evaluations regarding a possible US intervention in Iran, has resurfaced. Following the developments in Iran over the last two days, Erbakan's words have been shared again on social media.
"AIRCRAFT CARRIERS WILL COME TO THE REGION"
In his speech, Erbakan argued that the US might want to invade Iran, assessing the reason as "the rebirth of Islam." He stated that the US could come to the region with aircraft carriers to bomb Tehran and other centers, and emphasized that Turkey and the Islamic world should be prepared for this.
HE HAD DRAWN ATTENTION TO TECHNOLOGICAL SUPERIORITY
Using the phrase, "God has commanded us to prepare for something superior to the enemy's weapon," Erbakan highlighted the importance of technological superiority. In his evaluations regarding Israel, he emphasized the necessity of military deterrence.
In that speech, Erbakan mentioned missile defense and control systems, stating that a launched missile could be brought under control and neutralized on the platform that launched it.
