Recently, Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), which has frequently caused deaths, claimed another life in Sivas. 55-year-old Solmaz Aksu, who had a tick attached to her body, died at the hospital where she was taken.

Solmaz Aksu, who was being treated in the hospital for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) after a tick bite in the Koyulhisar district of Sivas, has lost her life.

TICK ATTACHED IN THE HIGHLAND, DIED IN THE HOSPITAL

A tick attached to the body of Solmaz Aksu, a resident of the Evelikli Highland in Aksu village, Koyulhisar district, some time ago. Aksu fell ill and was taken to Koyulhisar State Hospital by her relatives. After initial intervention there, she was referred to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine Hospital with suspected CCHF and was admitted to the anesthesia intensive care unit for treatment. Despite all efforts of the doctors, Solmaz Aksu passed away today. After hospital procedures, Aksu's body was handed over to her relatives and taken to her village for burial.
