A report that a baby's body was buried in a cemetery in Zonguldak put gendarmerie teams on alert. During the examination at the scene, it turned out that what was buried was not a baby but a dead cat.
There were tense moments in the Akpınar village of Zonguldak's Çaycuma district. The rumor that a baby's corpse had been buried in the village cemetery quickly stirred up the entire village. Upon the report of panicked residents, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the address, and when they opened the soil, they faced the truth.
RUMOR CAUSED PANIC
The incident occurred the day before in the Akpınar village cemetery. Citizens who noticed suspicious digging in the cemetery and heard that a baby had been buried there immediately reported the situation to gendarmerie teams. Security forces were quickly dispatched to the area following the report.
IT WAS A CAT, NOT A BABY
Arriving at the scene, gendarmerie teams began a detailed investigation in the suspicious area. As a result of the work carried out by the teams, it was determined that the object buried in the soil was not a baby's corpse but a dead cat. It was found that the dead animal had been buried in the cemetery by a citizen, and with the truth coming to light, the villagers breathed a deep sigh of relief.
